About The Position
The Night Warehouse Loader loads outbound orders into designated tractor trailers in accordance with company procedures and standards, ensuring products are safely stowed and organized for efficient delivery. The role is based in Norwich, Connecticut, and is scheduled Sunday through Thursday, beginning at 6:30 PM and continuing until work is finished. The expected base pay is $24.22 to $24.76 per hour, with weekly pay and applicable overtime compensation. Benefits begin on day one.
Requirements
- Must be pallet jack certified.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to read load diagrams.
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Must be team oriented and able to get along with others.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- A minimum of one year of warehouse experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect trailers before loading to ensure they are clean, at the proper temperature, and ready for loading.
- Ensure pallets are built according to delivery stops and securely wrapped to prevent damage during transport.
- Verify header labels on pallets and check for damaged or outdated product before loading.
- Load trailers, place and secure bulkheads correctly, and complete and submit the load diagram.
- Follow safety work practices and maintain a clean and orderly dock area.
