About The Position

The Night Loader loads outbound orders into designated tractor trailers in compliance with company procedures and standards, ensuring products are safely stowed and organized for efficient delivery. The role requires strength, endurance, and the ability to meet weekly loading productivity and accuracy standards while working safely. Night Loaders work directly with warehouse management to identify and address concerns. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, starting at 3:45 PM and continuing until all loads are loaded. The expected base rate is $25.37 per hour; overtime compensation, productivity- and quality-based incentive compensation, and a freezer premium may also apply.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Strength and endurance to perform the job safely and successfully.
Ability to meet weekly loading productivity and accuracy standards while working safely.
Ability to work in extreme temperature conditions, including cooler and freezer areas that may be as cold as -5 degrees.
Ability to read alphanumeric codes from load sheets.
Must satisfactorily complete company-mandated training and assessments.

Nice To Haves

One year of recent experience in a highly physical, labor-intensive occupation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Load products onto designated trailers and properly secure them.
Perform pre-shift duties, including safety checks of equipment.
Work in multi-temperature areas as assigned.
Perform shift duties that may include checking trailer cleanliness and verifying that trailers are at the proper temperature and ready for loading.
Ensure pallets are built according to delivery stops and securely wrapped to prevent transport damage.
Verify header labels on pallets and check for damaged or outdated products before loading.
Confirm the load diagram is completed and submitted.
Work with warehouse management to identify and address concerns.
