About The Position

The Night Loader loads outbound orders into designated tractor-trailers in accordance with company procedures and standards, ensuring products are safely stowed and organized for efficient delivery. The role requires strength, endurance, safe work practices, and the ability to meet weekly loading productivity and accuracy standards. Night Loaders work directly with warehouse management to identify and address concerns. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, starting at 3:45 PM and continuing until all loads are loaded. Work takes place in normal warehouse environments as well as cooler and freezer areas, where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees. The expected base rate is $25.37 per hour. The role may also receive overtime compensation, productivity- and quality-based incentive compensation, and a freezer premium.

Requirements

High school diploma required.
Strength and endurance to perform the job safely and successfully.
Ability to work safely in extreme temperature conditions, including cooler and freezer areas as low as -5 degrees.
Ability to read alphabetic and numeric codes from load sheets.
Must satisfactorily complete all company-mandated training and assessments.

Nice To Haves

One year of recent experience in a highly physical, labor-intensive occupation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform pre-shift duties, including safety checks of equipment.
Load products onto designated trailers and properly secure them.
Work in multi-temperature areas as assigned.
Check trailer cleanliness and temperature before loading to ensure the trailer is ready.
Build pallets according to delivery stops and wrap them securely to prevent damage during transport.
Verify header labels on pallets and check for damaged or outdated products before loading.
Complete and submit the load diagram.
Work with warehouse management to identify and address concerns.
Complete company-mandated training and assessments.
