About The Position

Johnson Brothers is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic with expertise and hands-on experience in conveyor systems as well as facility systems servicing their St Paul office and warehouse complex. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and practical experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Building Automation, Security, Safety Systems and HVAC. They are seeking a strong communicator and a team player with a passion for these trades, who has an innate ability to work independently. Requirements

  • 2-5 years hands on Mechanical experience
  • Electrical aptitude is required.
  • Experience with systems: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Building Automation Systems, Security.
  • Must be a self-directed and independent worker
  • Excellent Verbal/written communication skills to interact with all company personnel and guests.
  • Ability to work occasional days/afternoons and weekends as determined along with occasional on-call availability.
  • Boilers license or the ability to obtain within the first year of employment.
  • Candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen; criminal background check and a post offer physical (if applicable).

Nice To Haves

  • A two-year technical associates degree in Mechanical Systems Operation (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure MEPFS (mechanical, electric, plumbing, fire, security) systems function/repaired as needed.
  • Responsible for maintenance, repair and monitoring of building heating and cooling system.
  • Maintain and repair pumps and water circulation systems.
  • Maintain and repair conveyor system and loaders.
  • Provide facility/company wide technical, engineering & project support.
  • Ensure all required MEPFS inspections, testing and certification compliance.
  • Oversee care and maintenance of grounds and structural components of buildings.
  • Respond to emergency situations, inclement weather, after hours services
  • Ordering of equipment and materials as needed.
  • Respond to work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections, and maintain required maintenance logs.
  • Keep the upper management aware of any issues or concerns regarding the facility systems.
