The Maintenance Technician is responsible for participating in changeovers, machine preventative maintenance (PM), and repairs. This role requires spending approximately 95% of time on the production floor with the machines, understanding and communicating their current status. The technician will work closely with the shift supervisor to ensure machines are maintained in a safe, efficient, and quality manner. A key part of the role involves a handover meeting at the beginning of the shift and documenting information in the maintenance log before departing. The position also includes responsibilities related to maintaining GMP and SQF compliance, responding to emergencies, ensuring security diligence, and contributing to the prevention of nonconforming product shipment. The technician will identify and record problems, initiate actions to prevent non-conformities, and suggest improvements for products, processes, and systems.
