MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN- Night Shift
About The Position
This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and replacing production equipment in a chemical plant and warehouse environment. The technician will adhere to plant safety requirements and lock-out/tag-out procedures, document maintenance activities in a CMMS, and perform various mechanical tasks including pipefitting, welding, and equipment installation. The position also involves setting an example for safe operations, providing feedback to management, and supporting engineers, production operators, and contractors. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or GED
- 3+ years experience in industrial maintenance- chemical preferred
- US Citizen
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and replace production equipment, such as: tanks, pumps, agitators, gearboxes, valves, conveyors, blowers and fans while observing plant safety requirements and lock-out/tag-out procedures
- Report issues that are beyond their ability to fix or repair to supervision
- Document preventive maintenance tasks, repair activity and spare parts usage within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Perform pipefitting, welding, fabrication, equipment installation and alignments
- Set example for safe operation of machinery and equipment
- Provide feedback to management
- Support engineers, production operators and contractors
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to support operations or when emergencies arise
