Night Lift Operations Supervisor - Returning Staff ONLY - Winter 26-27
About The Position
This is a seasonal, part-time position for returning staff only. The Night Lift Operations Supervisor assists with the supervision of night lift attendants/operators. Responsibilities include breaking Lift Operators and stations, relaying communication and directions from Lift Captains to Supervisors, and assisting in training and documentation for all staff. The role emphasizes safety and guest satisfaction, and involves direct supervision of up to 10 staff members. Secondary duties include shoveling snow and physically assisting guests onto chairlifts, requiring knowledge of resort facilities and events.
Requirements
- Returning staff only
- Minimum education required - English reading, writing, communication and basic math.
- On the job experience in Lift Operations – 2 years minimum.
- Able to stand outside in all weather conditions and temperatures.
- Able to assist guests stand up with possibility of lifting 50+ pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Leadership and training skills preferred
- Familiarity with Lift Operations and mechanics
- Snowmobile experience preferred
- Mechanical experience a plus
- Extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and events.
Responsibilities
- Supervises up to 10 staff.
- Trains staff with proper lift operation techniques and required regulations.
- Responsible for maintaining lift ramps and mazes as well as end of day tear-down.
- Stresses safety and guest satisfaction.
- Assists in scheduling and performance coaching of all staff.
- Assists with completing lift operation documentation.
- Shovel snow
- Physically lift/assist children and handicapped skiers onto chairlifts.
- Other duties as assigned
