About The Position

The Night Forklift Operator transports pallet loads of product from the dock to designated warehouse slots and replenishes pick slots from reserve locations to maintain inventory levels for night-shift selection. The role includes completing equipment and safety checks, recording product, equipment, and warehouse damage, keeping aisles clean, and following safety policies. Work is in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, beginning at 5:00 PM and ending at completion, in Salem, Virginia. The expected base rate is $25.00 to $31.00 per hour.

Requirements

Able to read and write legibly.
Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Able to understand Voxware commands.
OSHA-compliant forklift certification required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior selector experience preferred.
Prior forklift operator experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Transport pallet loads of product from the dock to the correct warehouse slots using powered industrial equipment, securing pallets to help prevent damage or injury during selection.
Replenish pick slots with product from reserve slots to maintain inventory levels for night-shift selection.
Perform operations and safety checks, including checking the battery, brakes, lift controls, and fire extinguisher.
Record product, equipment, and warehouse damage.
Maintain clean aisles by removing debris from floors and racks.
Follow safety policies and practices at all times.
