About The Position
The Night Cook prepares food in accordance with established standards and ensures quality food service. This is a full-time position with days and hours that may vary. The role is based at Janssen Gurabo in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. Experience is preferred, and the fixed pay rate is $12.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Experience preferred.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions, meeting production, delivery, and service schedules.
- Serve meals and prepare them for delivery using correct portions, meeting outlined standards, maintaining the correct temperature, and arranging food neatly.
- Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records for the area worked.
- Clean the kitchen after preparation and service, maintain high cleanliness standards, and store or discard excess food according to safe food-handling procedures.
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, and store food and supplies according to standards.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
- Assist with production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
- Assist with ordering and receiving food and supplies as required.
- Immediately report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
