NIGHT COOK/BREAKFAST BAKER (FULL TIME)
About The Position
Prepares food in accordance with established standards and ensures quality food service is provided at all times. This is a full-time position with a rotational schedule of four weeks on and two weeks off; days and hours may vary. The fixed pay rate is $21.00 per hour. The position is based at Apache in Anchorage, Alaska, and requires previous remote camp work experience. ESS Support Services Worldwide provides food and facility maintenance services for clients at offshore and remote land sites. The cook prepares, portions, serves, and stores food safely, maintains kitchen cleanliness and equipment, and helps with production planning, records, ordering, and receiving supplies.
Requirements
- Previous remote camp work experience is required.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions, meeting production, delivery, and service schedules.
- Serve meals and prepare food for delivery using correct portions, meeting standards, maintaining proper temperature, and arranging food appropriately.
- Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records for the area worked.
- Clean the kitchen after preparation and service; maintain cleanliness standards and safely store or discard excess food.
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and orderly, and store food and supplies according to standards.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
- Assist with production planning, record keeping, and reporting.
- Assist with ordering and receiving food and supplies.
- Immediately report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
