Just 20 minutes north of Portland, our 21-room boutique hotel provides an intimate, tranquil escape — where serene rooms, free of TVs and phones, invite guests to slow down and savor coastal living. From weddings to weekend getaways, the Inn is a cherished retreat, blending classic New England charm with warm, personalized service. We are seeking a full-time seasonal Night Auditor. The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing front desk operations during overnight hours while ensuring accurate financial reporting and a seamless guest experience. This role combines guest service responsibilities with accounting tasks, requiring strong attention to detail, organization, and a hospitality-focused mindset.
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, front desk, or accounting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage overnight responsibilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays
Nice To Haves
- experience with PMS systems is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional guest service during overnight hours, including check-ins, check-outs, and guest inquiries
- Serve as the primary point of contact for guests overnight, addressing needs, concerns, and emergencies promptly and professionally
- Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room revenue, cash, credit cards, and other payments
- Prepare and distribute daily reports, including audit summaries and financial records
- Ensure accuracy of guest accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby areas
- Monitor property security and safety procedures throughout the night
- Assist with early morning guest requests, including wake-up calls and reservations
- Communicate important information to the morning team to ensure smooth shift transitions
