Next Steps Associate Pastor (NFW)

Gateway Church•North Fort Worth, TX

About The Position

The Next Steps Associate Pastor supports the Next Steps Pastor by overseeing day-to-day delivery of the campus assimilation path. While the Next Steps Pastor provides overall vision and ownership, this role leads key touchpoints—including Growth Path sessions, guest follow-up, baptisms, and membership—and pastors people moving through each step. The role ensures that people taking a next step are personally seen, supported, and connected. The position leads and develops the Serve Team and congregants, oversees campus Starting Point sessions and guest follow-up, coordinates baptisms and membership, and helps connect people with groups and ministry leaders. It also includes reporting and tracking progress through the assimilation path, pastoral care, participation in weekend services and churchwide events, and serving the congregation through ministry services. The position is expected to support, recruit, and develop Serve Team members and serve alongside the broader Gateway Church team as needs arise. Employment requires being a member of Gateway Church or becoming a member upon employment. Gateway Church states that it does not discriminate in employment opportunities or practices on the basis of protected characteristics as applicable to churches, but does discriminate on the basis of religion.
