About The Position

A private family in Tamarac, Florida, is seeking an experienced newborn care specialist to care for their 2-month-old son. This is a part-time, temporary position for six months, with the possibility of a long-term arrangement. The schedule is 20 to 30 hours per week: Sunday nights and all day Monday, Wednesday nights and all day Thursday, with Tuesday and the remainder of the week off. Exact shift times will be confirmed with the family. The family is looking for someone to start as soon as possible. Salary is DOE.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in newborn and infant care.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• A calm, reassuring presence with excellent judgment.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, discreet approach.
• Ability to commit to the Sunday through Thursday schedule, including night shifts.
• Previous experience as an NCS or newborn nanny.
• Available to start as soon as possible.

Nice To Haves

• Newborn Care Specialist certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care for a 2-month-old, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and bathing.
• Support healthy sleep habits and establish gentle, consistent routines.
• Keep the baby's feeding, sleep, and diaper logs and share daily updates with the parent.
• Keep the nursery and the baby's items clean and organized.
• Communicate openly with the parent about the baby's needs, routines, and milestones.
