The New Home Quality Reviewer evaluates newly built homes from a customer's perspective, assessing the quality of finished construction and identifying defects in workmanship, quality, completeness, consistency, and professionalism. Reviews take an average of 1 to 1.5 hours. The reviewer drives to construction sites and completes scheduled reviews on the assigned day, starting any time between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Review results are entered electronically on site and submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. Training is provided on entering a Quality Review Report in the report database. This is a part-time, 1099 position. Reviewers must be available four to five days a week, Monday through Friday, for partial and sometimes full days. Time off must be provided to the scheduler a week or more in advance, except in emergencies. Compensation is per completed review: $75–$90 per new review after the introductory period, and $65–$75 per review during the 30–60-day introductory period. A $10-per-house raise is provided when the introductory period ends. Drive time is not compensated; management groups work orders where possible to minimize travel between stops.
