About The Position

Tower 8 is a 30-bed Trauma Unit within the Level 1 Trauma Center on Cleveland’s Eastside. Our patients include Trauma Activations from the ED, PACU after surgery, the TSICU, and also transfers from other hospitals. Trauma impacts any age or body system, allowing for exposure to multiple specialties besides trauma, including ortho, neuro, geriatric, and thoracic, for example. Common Diagnoses Include Gunshot wounds, Motor Vehicle Collisions, Assaults, Falls, Traumatic Brain Injuries and Bone Fractures.

Requirements

  • Diploma RN, Associate or Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from an accredited program
  • An Ohio RN license is not required to be considered for this position. If selected to move forward, employment offers may be made contingent on candidate successfully obtaining RN license within time frame discussed at the time of offer acceptance.
  • Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
  • Education and degree verification will be required upon receiving a job offer.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • Prior experience on a related unit or specialty in a practicum, internship or STNA/PCNA/NAII is preferred
