The Surgical PCU is a 32-bed, fast-paced general surgical unit composed of three levels of care: unmonitored, telemetry and Intermediate Care (IMC). Our unit houses a multitude of services, including but not limited to Urology, Thoracic, Plastics and Trauma. Registered Nurses (RNs) work with a diverse patient population learning a variety of skills. Our charge nurse is out of the numbers to provide support and answer questions. Our unit works together as a team to provide excellent care to our patients and their families boasting nurses with all levels of experience, new graduates to those with decades of experience. The unit also has multiple supportive roles as part of the nursing team such as clinical technicians, unit associates, and an inventory clerk. We encourage both professional and personal advancement and offer many opportunities for committee and unit involvement. All New Graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled in our yearlong accredited Nurse Residency Program to facilitate your successful transition into professional nursing practice.
