The New Grad RN Cohort Program supports nurses at the start of their careers through a community of clinical educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents. The 12-month residency provides an innovative curriculum and hands-on experience to build clinical and critical-thinking skills for the transition from student to registered nurse. The program focuses on developing delegation and priority-setting skills, holistic patient care, interdisciplinary communication, and professional relationships. Residents may experience different shifts, patient populations, and unit cultures. Hiring is available across specialties including Intensive Care Step Down, Emergency Department, Behavioral Health, Medical-Surgical, and Surgical Trauma. The role provides direct clinical patient care and is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing care for assigned patients on a per-shift and unit basis. It also supervises staff to whom care is delegated and supports the Chief Nursing Officer in maintaining high-quality, safe, appropriate nursing care, clinical staff competency, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
