About The Position

Nuvo is seeking smart engineers to help build category-defining products in the B2B commerce and payments market. The role involves working on problems related to scaling AI agents, multi-agent workflows for risk and payments automation, and running agents on large-scale data. The engineer will collaborate with engineering, design, and product teams to shape the roadmap, solve real-world problems, and build 0-1 products. The work is expected to have a significant impact on team culture, customers, and the economy.

Requirements

• Strong CS fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience building with modern ML or LLMs (demonstrated through coursework, research, internships, or projects).
• Good judgment regarding the application of AI, understanding where it genuinely helps versus where it introduces risk.
• A rigorous approach to evaluating output quality.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical solutions and tradeoffs.
• Excitement to work in an early-stage team solving ambiguous problems with a strong bias for action.

Responsibilities

• Build AI systems that automate real trade workflows, including collections, credit decisioning, and payments operations.
• Transform LLMs and agents into reliable, production-grade features with appropriate evaluations and guardrails.
• Write high-quality, clean, and performant code, and collaborate with platform and product engineers to ship end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to shaping how Nuvo builds with AI, adapting to the rapid advancements in the field and the product.
• Utilize the best tools for the job, prioritizing production system functionality over specific models or frameworks.
