About The Position

Guide Book Publishing (GBP) provides direct-mailed member directories and communication tools to congregations across the United States, at no cost to the congregation. The service connects local businesses with faith communities and is funded by local advertising. The New Church Development Representative expands GBP’s reach by identifying, contacting, and signing new congregations. The representative presents the directory and ministry sections to church decision-makers and guides churches through the initial sign-up process. After a partnership is secured, GBP’s internal Account Executive team takes over advertising sales. The representative earns commission as publications launch and revenue is collected. This is a full-time, onsite position at 322 Sovereign Ct., Ballwin, Missouri. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation includes a weekly base salary and commission.

Requirements

Previous experience working for a church or selling services or products to religious organizations.
Understanding of the culture and communication style of faith communities.
Proven ability to manage a sales funnel and close partnerships.
Comfort using Zoom for presentations, Excel for lead tracking, and digital sales materials such as PDFs and videos.
Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

Contact prospective churches through high-volume phone calls, Zoom presentations, and emails using provided lead lists.
Explain the value of GBP’s directory and ministry sections to pastors, parish administrators, and other decision-makers.
Guide churches through the initial sign-up process and prepare for a successful handoff to the advertising sales team.
Work toward a target of 10 or more new church partnerships per month after the initial ramp-up period.
