Requirements
- Previous automotive sales management experience required
- Proven success leading a high-performing automotive sales team
- Strong knowledge of new vehicle sales and dealership operations
- Excellent negotiation and deal-structuring skills
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication abilities
- Experience with CRM and dealership management systems
- Ability to analyze sales performance and take action to improve results
- Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills
- Valid driver's license and driving record that meets dealership requirements
- Availability to work a dealership schedule, including evenings and weekends
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and motivate the new car sales team
- Manage daily sales operations and ensure the team is meeting performance goals
- Conduct daily sales meetings and one-on-one coaching
- Assist salespeople with customer negotiations and deal structure
- Oversee the sales process from initial contact through vehicle delivery
- Monitor CRM activity, lead follow-up, appointments, and closing performance
- Work closely with the General Sales Manager and General Manager to achieve monthly sales and gross-profit objectives
- Review and approve deals while maintaining profitability and customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory, pricing, merchandising, and vehicle availability
- Develop and implement strategies to increase showroom traffic, appointments, and sales
- Recruit, train, and develop sales professionals
- Maintain strong manufacturer and dealership standards
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and applicable regulations
