About The Position

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented New Business Specialist (NBS) to join our Personal Lines team. This is a salaried, production-focused role responsible for quoting, presenting, and binding new business while delivering a high-touch client experience. The New Business Specialist will work primarily from inbound and internally generated leads, with a strong focus on cross-selling and rounding out accounts. This role also supports internal producers by quoting business and assisting in the placement of new accounts.

Requirements

  • Active Florida 2-20 or 4-40 license (required)
  • Experience quoting and binding personal lines insurance (Home, Auto, etc.)
  • Strong understanding (or willingness to learn) Florida carrier underwriting guidelines
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce and QuoteRush preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work assigned inbound leads and office-generated opportunities
  • Quote, present, and bind new personal lines business
  • Identify coverage gaps and proactively cross-sell additional lines
  • Maintain consistent follow-up and pipeline activity
  • Quote new business opportunities for both direct clients and internal producers
  • Shop multiple carriers to ensure best placement and coverage
  • Meet expected quote turnaround times (typically 24–72 hours)
  • Manage leads, pipeline, and activity in Salesforce
  • Utilize QuoteRush for comparative quoting
  • Maintain accurate documentation in AMS360 and WorkSmart in accordance with agency SOPs
  • Apply and follow all carrier underwriting guidelines across Florida markets
  • Accurately assess risk and ensure proper documentation prior to binding
  • Stay up to date on carrier appetite, guidelines, and product offerings
  • Actively cross-sell and round out household accounts
  • Support agency growth initiatives through coverage expansion and retention strategies
