About The Position

Harrisonburg Honda & Hyundai is looking for a motivated individual to join their dynamic team of sales associates. This is a locally owned dealership with deep community roots and a family atmosphere, characterized by very little employee turnover. Many team members have been with the company for over 8 years. The ideal candidate must possess high character and a strong work ethic, work well within a team, and represent themselves and the dealership positively. The dealership offers an innovative compensation model with an annual earning potential between $31,200 and $120,000, based on production. They provide the necessary tools and training, emphasizing that income is directly tied to the individual's effort and coach-ability.

Requirements

• Enthusiastic with high energy throughout the sales workday
• Previous dealership experience in a sales capacity a huge plus
• Outgoing with a friendly personality, especially while handling objections
• Have quality customer service skills
• Possess strong communication skills
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Must be willing to submit to a background check & drug screen

Responsibilities

• Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
• Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
• Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
• Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
• Build strong rapport with customers.
• Perform high-quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of new/used vehicles.
• Learn to overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards.
• Report to the Sales Manager regarding objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses.
• Understanding of technology and ability to effectively communicate it to your client.
