About The Position

At Iowa State Bank, the New Account Representative provides exceptional customer service while assisting customers with opening and managing bank accounts. The representative identifies customer needs and recommends suitable products and services, while ensuring a positive banking experience and following compliance and regulatory guidelines.

The role includes customer service, account opening and maintenance, teller duties, transaction processing, bookkeeping, and relationship management. Travel to other branch locations may be requested to help provide coverage for new account duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assess their needs, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Answer questions about bank products and services.
• Open new deposit accounts.
• Manage a customer portfolio, service relationships, and cross-sell appropriate products and services to meet customer needs, maintain satisfaction, and achieve personal and retail sales goals.
• Refer customers to other bank functional areas as appropriate.
• Handle complex customer problems and inquiries, ensuring resolution and follow-up are accurate and timely.
• Perform daily account maintenance with no or limited errors.
• Handle customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, check deposit holds, cash advances, stop payments, gift cards, and cashier’s checks.
• Answer telephone calls to assist customers with questions or requests.
• Perform teller duties and customer service representative duties.
• Perform bookkeeping functions, including proofing, balancing, and processing checks and bank tickets.
• Travel to other branch locations as needed to assist with new account duties and ensure adequate coverage.
