About The Position

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Neurovascular Surgery for a Locum Tenens position in Richmond, VA. This inpatient role involves clinical coverage for neurointerventional surgery and stroke cases, serving adult and geriatric patients. The schedule includes three 12-hour shifts per week, with coverage needed for both day (7a-7p) and night (7p-7a) shifts. This position is open due to staff resignation and requires immediate ongoing coverage. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.

Requirements

• Board Certified (BC)
• Active Virginia license or willingness to obtain
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Neurocritical care nursing experience
• Availability for night shifts
• Clean background
• No malpractice or license issues
• EPIC proficiency

Responsibilities

• Respond to code stroke alerts
• Provide post-procedure inpatient care for neurointerventional surgery patients
• Collaborate with neurointerventional surgery team
• Manage neurocritical care patients
• Document patient care in EPIC
