About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens Physician Assistant position in Neurosurgery, covering call only from Monday through Thursday nights, 9 PM to 7:30 AM. The role involves providing phone consultation and call-back coverage for adult neurosurgery patients at a 600+ bed facility with a certified stroke center. The Physician Assistant will collaborate with a team of neurosurgeons and other advanced practice providers, respond to acute neurosurgery needs, perform inpatient rounding, and maintain timely communication with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Board Certified (BC)
• Universal License (IMLC)
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of Neurosurgery APP experience

Responsibilities

• Provide phone consultation and call-back coverage for neurosurgery patients Monday through Thursday nights.
• Collaborate with a team of 4 neurosurgeons and 4 advanced practice providers to manage adult neurosurgery cases.
• Respond to acute neurosurgery needs at a 600+ bed facility with a certified stroke center.
• Perform inpatient rounding and handoffs as part of call-only coverage.
• Maintain timely communication and coordination with the multidisciplinary team during call shifts.
