Neurosurgery Physician Assistant
About The Position
We are seeking a Physician Assistant specializing in Neurosurgery for a Locum Tenens position in Tampa, FL. This inpatient role involves clinical duties and call responsibilities, covering a mix of adult and pediatric neurosurgery cases. The position is for ongoing coverage starting ASAP, with a shift schedule of Monday-Friday with weekend call, or a 7 on/7 off rotation. The PA will participate in a 1:4/5 rotation for beeper call, covering weekends and nights. This role is to fill a vacancy while a long-term permanent search is conducted. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered by the agency.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC)
- Licensed in FL
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of Neurosurgery experience required
Responsibilities
- Provide first assist in neurosurgery procedures
- Perform inpatient rounding and consultations
- Manage call responsibilities including nights and weekends
- Collaborate with a team of 5 neurosurgeons and 4 advanced practice providers
- Provide care for adult and pediatric patients
