About The Position

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a Neurohospitalist to join its established inpatient neuroscience program at Moore Regional Hospital, its flagship campus and certified stroke center in Pinehurst, North Carolina. This is a dedicated inpatient role offering team-based neurology in a community-focused hospital with advanced diagnostics and subspecialty access. The position works alongside two Neurohospitalists on most shifts and has support from intensivists, hospitalists, neurosurgery, and other specialties. The health system uses Epic EMR. The role offers a block schedule of 45 day shifts per quarter, with an in-house presence from 8 AM to 6 PM and no nights. The stroke program holds DNV Primary Stroke Center Certification and multiple American Heart Association Get With The Guidelines distinctions. FirstHealth is headquartered in Pinehurst and operates four hospitals with 610 beds. The organization describes itself as financially stable and nationally recognized for patient safety, outcomes, and hospital performance. The position is based in Pinehurst, a resort community with access to outdoor recreation and major metropolitan areas.

Requirements

Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-approved Neurology residency.
Board certification in Neurology.
Must have a clean background.
Must be able to obtain North Carolina licensure and a North Carolina DEA registration.
AHA ACLS certification is required.
