About The Position

Texas Health Physicians Group is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant specializing in Neurosurgery and/or Neurocritical Care to join their Neurocritical Care team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves practicing at the full scope of training and license, providing support to the Neurosurgical call team. The PA will be responsible for managing incoming neurosurgical patients via ED/Trauma and supporting in-house Neurosurgical patients overnight. The position offers the opportunity to assist in caring for a variety of neurological disorders, providing expert neurological care and utilizing innovative techniques to find the best solutions for patients with diverse disorders affecting the brain or spine.

Requirements

• Active Texas license
• Physician Assistant Board Certification
• Experience in critical care or neurosurgery area; ICU & CCU required.
• Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an approved PA program
• Master's degree Physician Assistant required.
• Licensed as a physician assistant in the State of Texas and maintain such license in good standing at all times.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming neurosurgical patients through ED/Trauma.
• Support in-house Neurosurgical patients overnight.
• Provide consults and follow-ups for Neurosurgery ICU patients.
• Participate in inpatient rounding as part of the Neurocritical Care Team.
• Assist in caring for a variety of neurological disorders.
• Provide expert neurological care and innovative techniques.
• Support the neurosurgical on-call team as part of the Neurocritical Care Group.
• Report to the supervising physician and/or the Medical Director.
• Meet CME requirements to maintain certification and licensure.
