About The Position

Texas Health Physicians Group is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner in Neurosurgery and/or Neurocritical Care to join their Neurocritical care team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves practicing at the full scope of training and license, providing Neurosurgical call support. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for managing incoming neurosurgical patients through the ED/Trauma and supporting in-house Neurosurgical patients overnight. The position offers the opportunity to assist in caring for a variety of neurological disorders and provide expert neurological care using innovative techniques for patients with diverse brain or spine disorders.

Requirements

Active Texas license
Acute Care or Adult Nurse Practitioner Board Certification
Experience in critical care or neurosurgery area; ICU & CCU required.
Degree in Nurse Practitioner studies from an approved NP program
1 Year As a Physician Assistant. Pref
PA - Physician Assistant Upon Hire Req

Responsibilities

Manage incoming neurosurgical patients through ED/Trauma.
Support in-house Neurosurgical patients overnight.
Provide Neurosurgical call support as part of the Neurocritical care team.
Perform consults and follow-ups for Neurosurgery ICU patients.
Participate in inpatient rounding.
Manage Neurosurgery patients as part of the Neurocritical Care Team.
Assist in caring for a variety of neurological disorders.
Provide expert neurological care and innovative techniques to find the best solution for each patient with diverse disorders that attack the brain or spine.
Support the neurosurgical on-call team as part of the Neurocritical Care Group.
