About The Position

This is an entry-level position in the Networks multi-skilled workforce. The individual will be required to work in a team-based environment. Networks Maintenance Technician work activities may include any combination of the following tasks appropriate for water distribution, wastewater collection, preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, hand and power tool operation, material handling, general support and knowledge of basic safety procedures.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of full-time maintenance and/or construction experience.
  • Permanent status with the Sewerage & Water Board (for promotional applicants).
  • One (1) year of maintenance and/or construction experience (for promotional applicants).
  • Current valid driver's license.
  • Must provide original documents of qualifying credentials prior to start date.
  • Minimum age of 18 years for work requiring hard physical labor, operation of or proximity to hazardous machinery, exposure to hazardous chemicals, or participation in any other processes or procedures prohibited or limited by the Louisiana State Child Labor Law.
  • Good moral character.
