About The Position

Join the team at Mandalay Bay as a Network Technician, where you’ll play a key role in bringing cutting-edge network solutions to life for our Convention Network Services team. You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us!

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Associate's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related Field, or equivalent education and experience
• One (1) year of prior relevant experience in Networking Infrastructure
• One (1) year of prior relevant experience working with Cisco or Enterprise grade equipment
• Ability to review trace routes and device logs to effectively problem diagnose
• Working knowledge of multi-vendor
• Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays

Responsibilities

• Ensure network services meet corporate and client expectations and deadlines
• Deploy temporary network cabling and equipment to support convention needs, including building network cables for temporary use
• Maintain system integrity by conducting routine maintenance and logging all network changes and connections
• Communicate project status and delivery updates to management
• Interface with internal departments, clients, and vendors to resolve issues
• Maintain knowledge of MGM Resorts properties, convention/ballroom spaces, and venues as they relate to network infrastructure
• Stay current on network enterprise solutions, vendor products, and network technologies
