About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Network Systems Engineer for a hybrid contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Pennington, NJ. This role involves 24x7 support for a Global Risk Management Platform, focusing on monitoring, automation, tool development, and infrastructure problem-solving to ensure a healthy and scalable application infrastructure. The position requires working 2nd shift hours and occasional weekend support on rotation. The contract is for 12+ months, with an initial requirement of 4 days onsite for the first 6 months, reducing to 3 days onsite thereafter.

Requirements

• Excellent knowledge in Linux OS internals and operational OS skills
• Strong programming skills in at least one language (Java or Python)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• In-depth, hands-on experience in Global Markets Post Trade services
• Good understanding of ITIL methodologies
• Understanding of SRE concepts and hands-on knowledge of DevOps tools and technologies
• Experience with Dynatrace for performance engineering and analysis
• Familiarity with SDLC and Release Management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Azure and AWS cloud exposure
• Experience with Splunk

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 support during US business hours
• Manage and implement end-to-end Linux-based infrastructure hosting critical core components such as databases, GRID computing, and enterprise job schedulers
• Support and monitor application infrastructure and various internal core components
• Ensure application infrastructure issues are addressed and proactively fixed
• Work on tool development, automation, release management, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with multiple global teams
• Evaluate and analyze existing technology components to identify areas for improvement
