The Network Systems Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all incidents, requests, and changes are fully managed and documented in a timely manner. This role involves orienting new hires with relevant IT processes, effectively communicating with the user community, IT team, and leadership, and regularly interfacing with local business and IT leadership to ensure proper alignment. The position may require travel to related locations for in-person support. Key responsibilities include maintaining daily backups of local File Servers, ensuring audio and video conferencing capabilities and technology are functional, and developing and maintaining standard site management and disaster contingency plans. The engineer will also manage desktop/laptop hardware and software according to VITAS standards, coordinate all downtime and service impacting activities, and manage the process for equipment orders. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the coordination of office moves and additions, participating in disaster recovery and security audits, maintaining and producing inventory reporting of IT assets in the ITSM tool, and providing backup support to other regions as needed.
