About The Position

The Network/Systems Administrator is responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting advanced server, networking, and cloud services issues. This role involves handling escalations, including critical system down issues, complex problems that have bypassed the Desktop Support team, and managing executive-level escalations. The administrator will document resolutions, communicate them to the Helion team and clients, and collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and the Tier III support team to resolve escalated issues.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a Windows Systems Engineer or Windows Systems Administrator
  • Microsoft Server 2003-2019 Operating Systems knowledge
  • Active Directory domains in a multi-server domain/forest experience
  • DHCP management and failover setup and configuration experience
  • DNS management experience
  • Cisco Networking knowledge
  • Firewall access rule configuration and port forwarding experience
  • Bandwidth monitoring experience
  • ISP or WAN connection issues troubleshooting experience
  • Microsoft Exchange 2007-2016 installation, configuration, and support experience
  • Office 365 migration, configuration and support experience
  • Barracuda spam filter configuration, maintenance, and support experience
  • External DNS record configuration: SPF, DKIM, DMARC experience
  • Hyper V hosts and virtual servers installation, configuration, and troubleshooting experience
  • VM hosts and virtual servers installation, configuration, and troubleshooting in a VMware environment experience
  • Azure Active Directory Connect/Active Directory File Server experience in an enterprise environment
  • Windows Power Shell scripting for automation or maintenance experience
  • Technical expertise on O365 services: Teams, Azure, Multi-factor Authentication and Single Sign On
  • Scripting/Programming experience using PowerShell, Bat files, and Kaseya’s proprietary scripting engine

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot advanced server, networking, and cloud services issues.
  • Handle critical system down issues requiring collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Resolve complex issues escalated from the Desktop Support team.
  • Document details of resolutions and communicate them to the Helion team and clients.
  • Collaborate with the Tier III support team to resolve escalated issues.
  • Manage and resolve all Executive and Owner level escalations.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to resolve high-level escalations from the Service Desk.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and decommission Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2003-2019).
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Server settings.
  • Configure, test, and deploy Group Policy.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Active Directory domains in a multi-server domain/forest.
  • Install, migrate, and programmatically deploy printers.
  • Configure, test, and deploy Folder Redirection.
  • Configure, test, and deploy DFS for shared file storage.
  • Configure, test, and deploy OneDrive personal file redirection.
  • Manage DHCP and set up/configure failover.
  • Manage DNS.
  • Manage 3rd party applications, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Configure Cisco networking, including firewall access rules and port forwarding.
  • Monitor bandwidth.
  • Troubleshoot ISP or WAN connection issues.
  • Install, configure, and support Microsoft Exchange (2007-2016).
  • Migrate, configure, and support Office 365.
  • Configure, maintain, and support Barracuda spam filters.
  • Configure external DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC).
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Hyper V hosts and virtual servers.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot VM hosts and virtual servers in a VMware environment.
  • Work with Azure Active Directory Connect/Active Directory File Server experience in an enterprise environment.
  • Write Windows PowerShell scripts for automation or maintenance.
  • Provide technical expertise on O365 services like Teams, Azure, Multi-factor Authentication, and Single Sign On.
  • Create, test, modify, and deploy scripts using PowerShell, Bat files, and Kaseya’s proprietary scripting engine for application deployment/removal, icon deployment, and file/resource auditing.
