About The Position
TEKsystems' client is seeking a Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer to join its Infrastructure team on a 6-month contract. The role supports a Microsoft-centric environment and helps drive the organization's migration from on-premises infrastructure to Azure. It is approximately 50% project work and 50% operational support, including escalated support tickets and infrastructure troubleshooting. The position supports Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoint technologies, and LAN/WAN networking. It also contributes to cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, security initiatives, and scalability projects. The role is hybrid, with three days onsite per week in Aurora, Colorado.

- PowerShell experience.
- Azure experience.
- Microsoft 365 experience.
- Troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Networking fundamentals.
- At least 5 years of Systems Administration experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to independently research and resolve unfamiliar technical issues.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with Tanium is highly desired.
- Experience with VMware, Intune, and Zscaler is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Exchange.
- Support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Assist with Azure cloud migration initiatives and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Manage endpoint technologies, including Intune and security platforms.
- Support LAN/WAN networking, VLANs, routing, switching, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for infrastructure and application issues.
- Support Ubiquiti/UniFi network infrastructure.
- Assist with Zscaler administration and security initiatives.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in infrastructure modernization and scalability projects.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex support issues.
