About The Position

The Messaging and Collaboration Administrator will be responsible for managing user accounts in AD/Azure AD, distribution lists, and shared mailboxes. This role involves troubleshooting outlook and cloud mailbox issues, managing mailbox cloud licenses, and collaborating with Tier III and other Tier II support groups. The administrator will utilize Active Directory and Exchange tools, along with PowerShell cmdlets and scripts, for troubleshooting and managing Exchange. Support for Microsoft TEAMS and working with Microsoft to resolve system issues are also key responsibilities. The position requires shadowing intermediate technicians to advance knowledge.

Requirements

  • Solid understanding of exchange services management in a hybrid on-prem and cloud environment
  • Experience with Mail Flow, Disaster Recovery, Managed Availability, Messaging Policies, Compliance, Configuring Reporting & Logging, Mailbox migrations both on prem and cloud, and a deep understanding of SMTP
  • Experience with on-prem and cloud tools to include active directory, azure active directory, Cloud Exchange Admin Center (EAC), Microsoft Entra Identity, MFCMapi, MS Purview, M365 Defender, and PowerShell scripting and remedy ticketing system
  • Fair troubleshooting background with the ability to assist with troubleshooting complex problems and issues with guidance from intermediate and senior technicians
  • Security + or other qualifying IAT II certification
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) certification within 90 days
  • Active Secret Clearance
