Network Services Manager

Provident SecurityVancouver, BC
CA$115,000 - CA$140,000Hybrid

About The Position

Provident is hiring a senior network and systems professional to lead how we run our own infrastructure and how we design and support networks in some of Vancouver's finest custom homes. We're a security company, so this is network work where access control, privacy, and trust are the whole point, not the fine print. You'll work with a real team: a 24/7 Operations Centre that takes the first call, technicians who install and handle first-line support, and outside resources where they make sense. Your job is the interesting part: design, standards, the harder problems, and a major infrastructure project to lead from the start. If you want to own systems end to end instead of working a queue, this is that role. You'll begin with one clear priority: a flagship project building the next generation of how we monitor and support the technology in our clients' homes. We know where we're headed and we've done the groundwork; what it needs now is an owner to shape the details, prove the approach, and roll it out with zero client disruption. It's real infrastructure work: fleet provisioning, monitoring, and automation at scale. The rest of the role grows on the foundation this project builds, at a pace that makes sense. Our infrastructure. You'll look after Provident's internal environment: servers, network, and our workstation and laptop fleet, keeping it reliable, documented, and secure. It'll be yours to run and improve. Client network design. You'll be our designer for residential client networks. When a custom home needs a network that handles security, cameras, automation, and family life without complaint, you design it; our technicians deploy it under your direction. Managed network services. You'll lead how we keep client homes connected: proactive monitoring, remote remediation, and a service that deals with the internet provider so the client doesn't have to. You set the standards and own the hard problems; for select clients, you're the senior network expert behind their home, backed by the whole team. A stronger team. You'll train our technicians to handle everyday network issues confidently and define the playbooks they work from, so the routine stays off your desk and the interesting problems reach it.
