•$90,000 - $130,000

About The Position

The Network Segmentation Engineer serves as a hands-on engineering resource and Illumio subject matter expert, designing and deploying enterprise-scale network segmentation solutions in Azure using cloud-native constructs rather than agent-centric models. The engineer uses Illumio for application dependency mapping and traffic-flow analysis to prepare and provision policies that secure critical applications. As part of the internal Illumio deployment team, the engineer contributes to design decisions, implementation, and knowledge sharing, and provides technical direction, oversight, and guidance throughout the deployment lifecycle. The role includes resolving technical blockers with minimal escalation, documenting repeatable operational processes and workflows aligned with enterprise standards, and collaborating with application development, cloud engineering, and security teams. Working hours may need to be flexible to support project milestones, global stakeholders, and operational requirements.

  • At least 3 years of experience with native Azure networking constructs, such as VNets, NSGs, UDRs, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints, and Load Balancers, and integrating them alongside Illumio.
  • Ability to challenge and refine deployment approaches to align with enterprise-scale cloud architecture principles rather than relying on vendor-default or agent-centric models.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a team-oriented approach.
  • Proven technical leadership, including guiding teams in developing robust solutions.
  • Outcome-focused and adaptable, with the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities.
  • Ability to build stakeholder relationships by understanding and anticipating needs and providing insightful, innovative solutions.
