About The Position

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: Act as a subject matter expert for network security best practices Maintain secure network architectures across classified and unclassified enterprise environments Enforce network security policies, standards, and procedures Ensures high availability and resilience of network infrastructure supporting C2 systems Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies to maintain compliance with DoW cybersecurity standards Supports ATO processes by maintaining system documentation of network security designs and configurations Collaborate with the customer as well as cross-functional teams to integrate security into C2 systems without degrading performance or training effectiveness Participates in special projects as required

Requirements

  • AS/AA in Information Technology or Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience
  • 2+ years of related experience; military experience preferred
  • Provides systems engineering expertise across the full lifecycle, including design, integration, operations, and sustainment of enterprise systems
  • Proven experience operating within enterprise scale or highly distributed network environments
  • Strong understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF), boundary related STIGs, and cybersecurity compliance requirements
  • Deep knowledge of routing, switching, and network protocols
  • Experience deploying and managing enterprise firewall solutions, including Cisco ASA and Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW)
  • Experience configuring and managing core network infrastructure, including switches and remote nodes within controlled or secured environments
  • Familiarity with IDS/IPS, VPNs, proxy solutions
  • Understanding of network segmentation and micro-segmentation
  • Understanding of encryption protocols (IPsec, SSL/TLS)
  • SEC+ is required; Network+ or CCNA will be considered
  • SECRET clearance is required with ability to obtain TS/SCI Clearance
  • Must meet DoD 8570 IAM I certification
  • Superb communication skills with a strong emphasis on clear, thorough technical documentation
  • Strong analytical thinking and advanced problem solving capabilities in complex network security environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to escalate appropriately
  • Must be able to perform with minimal guidance
