About The Position

CompTech is seeking a qualified, cleared Telecommunications Network Engineer to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), a component of the U.S. Department of Defense. This role supports DLA Information Operations, Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS), Network & Telecommunications Services (NTS), specifically within the Wide Area Network (WAN) Branch across multiple enterprise locations. This is a 3rd Shift, on-site position with work locations in Fort Belvoir, New Cumberland, Battle Creek, and Columbus. The selected engineer will provide technical expertise in both wired and wireless WAN engineering, supporting current operations as well as emerging technologies. This role is critical to sustaining and modernizing DLA’s enterprise WAN environment, ensuring the delivery of secure, reliable, and mission-ready network services in support of agency operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of network operations experience; higher-level education or relevant military service may be substituted for the required experience
  • Demonstrated experience in telecommunications network design and management
  • Experience in the analysis and design of voice networks, LAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and network management systems supporting integrated voice and data services
  • Experience performing or supporting the development, engineering, integration, interfacing, and testing of complex hardware and software systems
  • A minimum of two (2) certifications, one from each of the lists below: IA Level: IAT-II: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH
  • CCSE NGX, CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, SCNA, CCSE NGX Plus NG with AI, CCMSE NG with AI, CSMSE NG with AI Plus VSX, NSA, ESE
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance Required

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise in both wired and wireless WAN engineering, supporting current operations as well as emerging technologies
  • Maintain the integrity of network system baselines throughout the lifecycle by managing and implementing updates across development, deployment, operations, and maintenance activities
