The Network Administrator III is responsible for leading and managing network projects by recommending solutions to network strategy and security issues, as well as providing network-engineering solutions/options for the organization. This role involves developing detailed network specifications, recommending strategies for network growth and security, performing risk assessments, and managing vendor relationships. The position also includes network analysis, capacity planning, and staying current with emerging security threats and technologies. Key responsibilities encompass designing, installing, and troubleshooting network topologies, managing wireless networks, supporting remote access technologies, and monitoring network security to prevent intrusions. The administrator will also analyze and evaluate network changes, contribute to backup and recovery plans, resolve complex problem tickets, and maintain firewalls. Support for physical security systems and phone systems, including VoIP, is also part of the role. The position requires occasional travel and may involve after-hours responses to emergencies.
