About The Position

The Network Operations Engineer is part of a collaborative team responsible for ensuring the stability and integrity of data, voice, video, and wireless network services. The position supports the implementation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of network hardware, software, and communication links.

Requirements

• Hands-on technical knowledge of Juniper network hardware, routers, switches, firewalls, and Cisco wireless.
• Knowledge of WLAN implementation and support.
• Excellent hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards.
• Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining enterprise networks.
• Applicants must be able to work on a W-2 without requiring sponsorship or agency representation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with F5 load balancing.
• Experience with Aerohive/Mist Wireless.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed.
• Create and maintain documentation related to configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
• Deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including routers, switches, and other hardware.
• Configure networks to ensure reliable and seamless operation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
