About The Position

TekWissen is a global workforce management provider headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan that offers strategic talent solutions to our clients world-wide. This is a temporary assignment for a Network Operations Engineer in Longmont, CO, working onsite for 12 months. The role involves carrying out day-to-day operational and technical support for network services, including handling queries from Labs and End user team members, and ticket execution via Freshworks. Responsibilities include maintaining updated schematic diagrams for infrastructure and low-level architecture design, keeping an inventory of network devices, and monitoring network performance, system availability, and reliability. The engineer will also be responsible for installing and configuring network hardware such as Wireless AP, Switches, Phones, and Routers across various site locations, including Labs, Offices, and Data Centers. Participation in network implementation projects may also be required.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience working with Cisco and/or Juniper network equipment.
  • Familiarity with basic switching and routing such as VLAN, VXLAN, STP, VPC, HSRP, NAT, IPSec, MPLS, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP.
  • Familiarity with IP communication and routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
  • Familiarity with LAN / WAN / WIFI/ Structured Cabling and network equipment such as firewalls, switches, routers, wireless controller, load balancer, Infoblox.
  • Knowledge in network monitoring tools, automation, packet-level analysis of application and network protocols.
  • Skills in network protocols and technologies, familiarity with network security principles, and experience with networking equipment are highly valued.
  • Have a background or study in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out day-to-day operational and technical support for network services.

  • Installing and configuring network hardware such as Wireless AP, Switches, Phones, Routers across site, Labs, Office and Data Center.
  • Participate in network implementation projects if required.
