About The Position

Ericsson is seeking an experienced engineering professional with deep expertise in Optical Transport Networks, fiber optic infrastructure, and data center physical-layer infrastructure. The role supports large-scale data center and network infrastructure projects across the United States, including solution design, rack integration, structured cabling, deployment, testing, commissioning, and customer engagement. The engineer serves as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers build, deploy, and operate reliable, scalable, high-performance infrastructure. Experience in hyperscale environments, high-density fiber cabling, DWDM technologies, complex infrastructure upgrades and migrations, and rack-level integration is desirable. The preferred location is Plano, Texas. Overland Park, Kansas; Columbus, Ohio; Reston, Virginia; and Atlanta, Georgia are also being considered. The position is hybrid and requires travel to customer data centers, laboratories, warehouses, and other operational locations across the United States as needed. Ericsson does not sponsor U.S. work authorization for this position and does not hire F-1 candidates working on CPT or EAD for this role.
