Jovian Concepts, LLC is seeking a Network Engineer Level 2 for an exciting opportunity in the San Antonio, TX area. At Jovian Concepts, our people drive our success. Requirements
- A current and active TS/SCI clearance with a Maryland (MD) polygraph is required for consideration.
- CCA candidates will not be considered for this position at this time.
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Six (6) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support and training commensurate with network engineering curriculum.
- In lieu of a Master’s degree, a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline and an additional two (2) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support for a total of eight (8) years.
- In lieu of a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree an additional six (6) years experience providing Network Engineering support and a Certification in an industry standard (Arista Configuration Essentials, Cisco Certified Network Associate, or Juniper Certification Tracks (Automation & DevOps, Cloud, Data Center, Design, Enterprise Routing and Switching, Junos Security, Service Provider Routing and Switching)) may be substituted for a total of 12 years.
- An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.
Nice To Haves
- Cisco ASA firewall and JIRA ticketing experience
- Arista Configuration and sustainment experience
- Familiar with Netapp, SafeNet, and Visio, while supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance
Responsibilities
- Perform all network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks.
- Perform hands-on support for hardware issues.
- Analyze design, specifications, and related documents.
- Perform general LAN/CAN/WAN administration.
- Schedule conversions and cutovers.
- Coordinate with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents.
- Translate business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders.
- Perform engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures.
- Assist telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management with network interfaces.
