About The Position

The Network Engineer II is responsible to the Manager, Software and Services, for installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Landis+Gyr system’s network engineering infrastructure. Network engineering responsibilities supporting production, infrastructure, and security include: Installing, configuring, and maintaining all network engineering equipment. Configure, maintain, and document all network elements supporting customer connectivity. Maintain and troubleshoot WAN/LAN and Cloud network connectivity. Work in tandem with our operation and cloud teams to identify and implement the most optimal solutions for the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is in business or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in:
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Cisco, WAN/LAN, routing and switching network design and troubleshooting
  • Linux/Unix/Windows experience
  • Cloud networking configuration and troubleshooting
  • Network Load Balancer installation and management
  • Network Firewall installation and management
  • Experience with IP Address Management (IPAM) for IPv4 and IPv6
  • Experience with Change Management process and procedures
  • Experience with Technical Documentation - network drawings, and process/procedure

Nice To Haves

  • CCNA certification preferred
  • Associate Cloud Engineer or similar certification preferred
  • Personal computer knowledge
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Keyboard/typing skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing.
  • Regular contact with employees, external customers, and/or industry contacts

Responsibilities
