About The Position

Position functions as a technician for the enterprise infrastructure. This position is responsible for network and telecommunications technology such as routers, switches, wireless controllers, firewalls, network access controls, call managers, and unified-communications. This position is responsible for the research, development, implementation, and support of core network infrastructure and tools to allow communications between all IT assets connected to the company's network. This position supports and administers Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) hardware for IT systems of all business areas. Position also provides on call support of the infrastructure environment that supports critical systems 24x7x365.

Requirements

  • A minimum of three years of network infrastructure experience.
  • Knowledge of computer/network principles at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field or acquired through a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with WAN and LAN technologies such as; Port Channeling, Virtual Port Channel (VPC), VLAN, Network Address Translation (NAT), Access Control List (ACL), QoS, VoIP, and Virtual Private Network (VPN).
  • Experience with protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP.
  • Cisco configuration and troubleshooting skills across multiple platforms such as: ISR/ASR Routers, Switches, ASA firewalls, Cisco CUSM, Cisco ISE, Cisco VoIP/UC, and Cisco Wireless solutions.
  • Ability to function as a team member, including the open sharing of information, willingness to help wherever needed, and an understanding that team and the organizations objectives supersede personal agendas.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to both technical peers and less technical customers in person and via written media such as email, reports, and project charters.
  • Advanced experience of remote network administration, which included installation, administration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of network management concepts and software such as different monitoring tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is preferred.
