About The Position

We are seeking a mid-level Network Administrator to join a growing IT team in a contract-to-hire capacity. This role offers a strong mix of hands-on network engineering, infrastructure projects, and business-facing collaboration. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working directly with business stakeholders to understand technical needs while also executing network solutions across multiple sites. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in network administration and deployment
  • Strong hands-on experience with routing and switching, wireless networking, and network troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and translate them into network implementation plans
  • Working knowledge of copper and fiber cabling standards
  • Working knowledge of network documentation and labeling best practices
  • Experience supporting enterprise network environments
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business users

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies (routers, switches, Catalyst, Nexus)
  • Experience with enterprise voice platforms (e.g., Cisco or Microsoft-based solutions)
  • Experience with wireless survey tools (e.g., Ekahau or similar)
  • Exposure to structured cabling projects and vendor coordination
  • Exposure to industrial or operational technology (OT) environments
  • Exposure to network segmentation and security best practices
  • Familiarity with change management processes

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 network support for LAN, WAN, WLAN, voice, and security-related issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents while maintaining detailed documentation
  • Administer and support routers and switches, wireless networks and access points, and enterprise voice systems
  • Perform network monitoring, upgrades, and lifecycle maintenance
  • Design and support MDF/IDF telecom room buildouts, including rack layout, power and UPS coordination, cabling pathways and environmental considerations
  • Plan and oversee fiber and copper cabling installations, including vendor coordination, installation and testing, and labeling and documentation
  • Support device connectivity including VLAN configuration, switchport setup, and cutovers
  • Assist with wireless deployments including site surveys, access point installations, and performance validation
  • Support enterprise telephony systems (provisioning, configuration, and troubleshooting)
  • Assist with deployment of communication systems such as paging solutions
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend solutions
  • Work cross-functionally with IT teams, engineering, facilities, and vendors
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
