The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining network performance by monitoring and analyzing network activity, tuning performance, troubleshooting problems, and escalating issues to vendors. This role involves implementing network best practices, documenting findings and changes in the IT wiki, and replacing/modifying network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, printers, and VoIP phones. The administrator will also develop and maintain network routing protocols and configurations, solve tier 2/3 support requests including networking hardware issues and server administration, oversee VPN administration and user access, and support QA/IS teams in meeting security compliance needs.
