About The Position
We are seeking a NetApp Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our storage team. This role involves a blend of technical leadership, architectural planning, and hands-on expertise. You will be responsible for driving technical initiatives around storage structure, enabling L2 teams through automation, and contributing to the long-term roadmaps for our storage environment. This includes interpreting cloud technologies and integrating them into our strategy. The ideal candidate will be a technical thought leader with deep knowledge of File NAS, Block SAN, and object storage, as well as experience with AIX and Cisco switches.
Requirements
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in NetApp storage.
- Hands-on experience with NetApp storage systems.
- Proficiency in File NAS, Block SAN, and object storage.
- Experience with AIX operating systems.
- Experience with Cisco switches.
- Hands-on CLI experience.
- Scripting skills for automation.
- Basic IT skill sets.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with NetApp ActiveIQ.
- Cloud insights, specifically Azure.
- Experience with S3.
- Experience with Ansible Playbooks.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and thought leadership for NetApp storage systems.
- Develop and maintain storage roadmaps, focusing on growth and support for new workloads.
- Enable L2 storage teams through automation and by reducing hands-on tasks.
- Oversee L2 storage teams and contribute to architectural planning.
- Interpret cloud insights and integrate them into the storage roadmap.
- Manage File NAS, Block SAN, and object storage environments.
- Work with AIX operating systems and Cisco switches.
- Perform hands-on CLI operations and scripting for automation.
